LLM’s (Large Language Models) – ChatGPT and its rivals

ChatGPT

ChatGPT

The release of ChatGPT, the first publicly available LLM, ignited the recent AI boom. OpenAI has relentlessly refined its technology. ChatGPT-3 broke ground in human-like text generation, while GPT-3.5 improved upon this with better context and conversational flow.

The latest version, GPT-4o, pushes the boundaries even further, boasting advanced problem-solving, deeper understanding, and the ability to analyze not just text, but also images and speech. Despite facing strong competition, ChatGPT remains a leader in the field thanks to continuous advancements.

Copilot

Microsoft’s Copilot, formerly Bing Chat, is an LLM that goes beyond just providing answers. It champions the concept of “Explainable AI” (xAI) by offering transparency in its workings. When you pose a question, Copilot not only delivers a response, but also presents a list of reference documents it consulted to arrive at that answer.

Furthermore, Copilot has carved a niche as the go-to chatbot for coding assistance. Programmers can leverage its capabilities to receive suggestions, troubleshoot issues, and even complete specific lines of code, thereby boosting developer productivity.

Gemini

Google’s contribution to the LLM world. Originally named Bard, Gemini will let you have more conversations with it than either Copilot (Microsoft) or ChatGPT in their free versions.

Possibly the most exciting thing about Gemini is that it’s owned by Google; which means that Gogle can implement it into all its other products that are market leaders in their respective fields. Plus of course the fact that Google has around 95% of the search market…

Claude AI

Claude AI, crafted by a team splintering from OpenAI, stands out for its focus on ethical AI development. It boasts impressive natural language processing and comprehends complex instructions, humor, and even nuances within a dialogue.

Its training data is current. This ensures Claude stays up-to-date and provides relevant responses. Anthropic, the developers behind Claude, prioritize responsible AI, and this is reflected in features like “Artifacts.” This innovative feature displays relevant code snippets or website designs alongside the conversation, fostering transparency and trust.

Below is a list of the most useful AI for Business tools and platforms.

This will be updated and added to on a regular basis!

Jasper AI – great for creating copy, including a plagiarism checker and many more features!

Copy AI – Previously Jasper AI’s main rival in creating great, SEO-relevant copy, Copy AI has pivoted to being the first dedicated GTM (go-to-market) AI tool, easing and improving sales and marketing processes.

Bricabrac AI – Amazingly enough, bricabrac ai will create an entire app for you, based on whatever text prompt you provide. Still in beta, nevertheless this will hugely shake up the world of app and app design!

Clickup AI – “one AI to rule them all” is the rather cheeky claim on their homepage;

Clickup.ai claims that it connects projects, docs, people, and “all your company’s knowledge”. While it’s often used for things like analysing, summing up and producing titles for lengthier documents, the productivity tool has huge capabilities for making your company’s processes run faster. Zoho is similar and also much loved.

Plus AIPlus.ai is a free presentation creator that’s set up to work specifically with Google Docs and Slides and does all the things you think it should within that realm. Want your boring presentation perked up and made to look more professional? Use Plus AI.

Munch AI – Munch promises to take your long-form video, scan it and find the best and most contextual bits of it, and turn them into coherent short-form videos for social media use. Impressive.

Midjourney – Midjourney and Kaiber both specialise in taking a prompt, a description or an original image or video, and changing, developing and expanding it into…well, pretty much anything you like. If you’ve got a photo or short video but you’d like it to be made more exciting, with a different background; turned into an anime video that’ll blow your socks off…use either of these two to do it. The biggest difference: to give your prompt to Midjourney you have to use the Discord platform. To use Kaiber, you do it on their website.

Fireflies AI – According to its website, “Fireflies.ai helps your team transcribe, summarise, search, and analyse voice conversations.” Essentially, it’s intended – and used – as a note taker on steroids. If you let it record your meeting, it’ll transcribe it, put it into whichever platform or tool you like, and let you sum meetings up, find key points, create actionable tasks and more.

Synthesia AIIf you input some text into synthesia.ai it’ll not only reproduce it flawlessly with a completely human-sounding voice, it’ll also have it spoken by one of a wide range of possible avatars. Synthesia is one of the AI models that really hit home just how far and fast AI has come in the last year or so; a couple of years ago you could tell that their avatars weren’t real; now, it’s almost impossible.

Blaze AI – Another AI offering that creates (mainly) written content, I’ve added Blaze to our list because it has something that (as far as I’ve found) others don’t: while working in your own brand voice (which it will learn by being unleashed on your previously written content), Blaze.ai will take a long-form piece of content – webinar, article, you name it – and use that to create a whole series of short-form content pieces based on it. So if you’ve written a longer article, for example, you can run it through Blaze and the AI will produce a series of Facebook, Linkedin and Instagram posts for you. Bingo.

This is by no means an exhaustive list; we’ll be updating and adding as time goes on so make sure to drop back here every couple of weeks.
